On Friday, Dorival Junior named the 17-year-old winger in the Selecao squad that will face Ecuador and Paraguay in friendly matches in September. The Palmeiras star was following the news at his home along with his family when he heard his name being included in the Brazil squad. The entire family went into a celebration mood as Willian's father tightly hugged him while his mother broke into tears.

Earlier in June, Chelsea had announced the signing of the Brazilian wonderkid. They agreed to pay €34 million (£29m/$36m) upfront to Palmeiras and an additional €23 million (£20m/$26m) tied to performance-based incentives. The player will move to England next summer after he turns 18.
