Older brother Taylor nets hat-trickZach scores first professional goalUtrecht top VolendamWHAT HAPPENED?
Both Taylor, 22, and Zach, 19, were on the scoresheet on Sunday when FC Utrecht took on FC Volendam in Eredivisie play. Taylor, though, stole the show, netting a hat-trick in Utrecht's 4-2 win.
The match was the brothers' first face-off in the Eredivisie and Zach's goal was also the first of his professional career, with the fact that he scored it against his brother making it all the more special. Taylor, meanwhile, netted his first three goals of the season, having scored two during a breakout campaign in 2022-23, the most recent of which came in November 2022.

Both brothers came up through Real Salt Lake's academy before making the move to Europe. Taylor signed with Bayern Munich in 2019, but really broke out upon joining Utrecht ahead of the 2022-23 season. Following his debut season in the Eredivisie, Booth reportedly earned interest from Manchester United but ultimately remained in the Eredivisie.
Zach, meanwhile, join Leicester City's academy in 2020 but was loaned out to Volendam this past September on a season-long loan. The goal was his first for Volendam, although Booth has been something of a regular, making 13 appearances for the club.
DID YOU KNOW?
The elder Booth made his USMNT debut last March, appearing in back-to-back matches against Grenada and El Salvador as a substitute. He was also part of the USMNT squad for the Nations League semifinal and final, although he did not make an appearance.
Zach, meanwhile, has featured for the U.S. up to the U-20 level.
WHAT NEXT FOR THE BOOTHS?
With the win, Zach and Utrecht sit 11th in the Eredivisie ahead of a match at home next weekend against Fortuna Sittard.
17th-place FC Volendam, meanwhile, are in a relegation fight as they currently are seven points from safety and three points out of a relegation playoff place. It won't get any easier, though, as they'll face unbeaten PSV next week.
