ECB Media Release03-Jan-2002Yorkshire all-rounder Craig White will miss England’s forthcoming One-DaySeries in India in order to have keyhole surgery on his left knee.White will be out of action for 3-4 weeks but he is expected to be fit forthe New Zealand leg of this winter’s tour and England will not be calling upa replacement player.White, who underwent a scan over the Christmas break, aggravated the injuryduring the last day of the 3rd Test against India in Bangalore.The all-rounder, who scored his maiden Test century against India inAhmedabad in December, underwent a successful operation on his right kneelast autumn and was not included in the ODI squad which toured Zimbabwe.England are due to play five ODIs in New Zealand later this winter with thefirst match scheduled for February 13th followed by a three-match TestSeries which begins on March 13th.England ODI Squad to tour India and New Zealand 2002
