The former Chelsea midfielder expressed 'mixed feelings' after the match as he sent out a message to fans and thanked them for their support. He was also elated to score his first-ever goal for the club.

Taking to Instagram, the England international shared a couple of photographs of him celebrating the goal as he wrote in the caption, "Mixed feelings, but I’m proud to celebrate my first goal for this club! We’ll continue to work on finishing the season on a high. Thank you for all the support."
